Founded in 1980, Yajur Fibres Limited is a manufacturer and processor of bast fibers like flax, jute, and hemp. Through its cottonization process, the company converts long, brittle bast fibers into short, cotton-like fibers that integrate seamlessly with cotton and synthetic materials, a breakthrough in sustainable fiber production achieved through dedicated research and full-scale commercial operations. It boasts a production capacity of more than 300 metric tons per month for its cottonized fiber, flax yarn, and jute yarn, making it a preferred supplier for premier spinning and weaving mills across India and globally. The firm’s manufacturing base is strategically positioned in the heart of West Bengal’s jute belt at Jagannathpur, Phuleshwar, Uluberia, Howrah District. This extensive facility covers 19 acres and includes 500 meters of frontage along the Ganges River.
